TV Live business television
What it does
Live business and news television in English, Arabic, Spanish, French and German, played by the terminal itself rather than handed to someone else's player. A numbered channel menu on the left, as tall as the picture beside it, with the language on every row and a live dot on the one that is decoding; the player on the right with a status line that says loading, playing at the rate it settled on, stalled, switching source or unavailable; and the next thirty days of policy decisions, releases, auctions and earnings under it, in UTC, in local time and with a countdown, each with the channel that carries it. A number then ENTER switches channel, the arrows move through the list, S then a digit picks the source, M turns the sound on, F fills the screen, R reconnects. TV 12 opens channel 12, TV 12 2 opens it on its second source. LIVE opens it too; NEWS stays the headline function.

Type TV [CHANNEL] [SOURCE] into the command line and press ENTER.

Limits: Every channel and every source on this list played from the studio server in a real browser on the date beside it, and anything that did not play was removed rather than listed; a channel whose last check failed is greyed. A broadcaster can still move an address or take a feed off air at any hour, so a source that stalls is retried and then handed to the next source on the channel by itself. Central bank and broadcaster feeds that exist only on a video site are supported by the panel but none is listed today, because that site answers this server with a bot wall for every video, so none could be proved. The calendar under the player carries what the economic and earnings feeds publish plus the Federal Reserve meeting dates read from its own calendar page; the European Central Bank, the Bank of England, the Bank of Japan and OPEC publish theirs on pages this server cannot read, so those appear only when the economic calendar carries them.
