Disclaimer

Not financial advice. Delayed and third-party data. Read this before you act on anything you see here. The terminal is an information tool, and the forecasts on it are wrong often.

1. Not financial advice

Nothing on the marketprice terminal is financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice, and nothing on it is a personal recommendation. We do not know you, your situation, your holdings or your goals, and we are not a broker, a dealer, an investment adviser or a financial institution of any kind.

What you do with your money is your decision and your responsibility. Take advice from someone qualified and regulated in your own country before you act.

2. No offer, no solicitation

Nothing here is an offer to buy or sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy or sell, any security, commodity, currency, crypto asset or other instrument, in any jurisdiction where that would be unlawful.

The presence of an instrument on the board or in a screen is not an opinion about it. The universe is chosen to test the terminal, not to suggest anything.

3. Delayed and third party data

Prices on this site are delayed. Equity quotes come from a single venue rather than the consolidated tape, so both the price and the volume are that venue only. Crypto figures come from individual exchanges. Foreign exchange rates, macro series, fundamentals and calendars are published on their own schedules, from once a minute to once a year, and many are revised after publication.

All of it comes from third parties. We do not create market data, we do not verify it independently, and we cannot promise it is accurate, complete or current. Errors upstream appear here.

Every panel names its source and the age of what it is showing in its footer, and the STATUS page lists every feed with its last success and last error. Read those before you read the number.

4. Forecasts are statistical estimates, and they are wrong often

The terminal shows forecasts from sam, our own models. sam v1 is a set of decision models that give the probability that a price will close higher. sam v2 forecasts the path of a price, a median and a band for every step ahead. Where you see sam v1 + sam v2, the number is their mean.

sam v3 is the forecast the chart and the board draw. It combines sam v1, sam v2 and a candle model that draws the likely shape of the next candles (open, high, low, close and volume), and weights each part by its own record on the scoreboard. The candle model was measured on our own bars and showed no edge on direction, so it shapes the candles only and carries no weight on direction or bands until its record beats sam v2’s.

None of these models knows anything about the world, the company, the news or what is about to happen. Each produces a figure and a probability from past prices. Being right more often than a coin over a long run would be a good result for such a model; it is not a reason to trade. Treat every forecast as a description of what the recent past looked like, not as a prediction you can act on.

Probabilities are not promises. A probability of 60 percent means the other outcome happens four times in ten, and those four times can come one after another.

5. The scoreboard shows how wrong they are

The SCOREBOARD function exists so the models are not judged on the ones that worked. It records every forecast the models commit to before the outcome is known, settles it against what actually happened, and reports accuracy and error out of that record. Nothing on it is a backtest.

For every product and frequency it shows four cards, one each for sam v1, sam v2, the candle model and sam v3, so each part is judged on its own and the blend is judged too. A horizon with too few settled forecasts is labelled as warming up rather than scored, because a score over a handful of outcomes says nothing. Read it before you read a forecast.

6. sam v4 is research, not a feature

We are researching sam v4, a layer that would turn forecasts into decisions about positions and risk. It does not exist on this site. It will be built only if the research shows, after costs and on data it was not trained on, that it adds something; if it is ever built it will be published as a research result with its record first.

Nothing on the terminal tells you to buy, sell or hold anything, and no future version will be personal advice.

7. Past performance

Past performance is not a guide to future performance. Back tested, simulated and hypothetical results shown anywhere on this site were produced with hindsight, do not represent real trading, and do not account for the costs, slippage, taxes and human behaviour that determine real outcomes.

8. Risk of loss

Trading and investing carry risk, including the loss of everything you put in and, with leverage or short positions, more than you put in. Crypto assets are volatile and are unregulated in many places. Foreign exchange rates move against you as easily as for you.

Nothing on this site reduces those risks. Do not risk money you cannot afford to lose.

9. Errors, and telling us about one

This is a small operation and figures on it will be wrong from time to time. If you find something wrong, write to support@qourat.com with the function, the instrument and the time, and we will look at it. We fix what we can and we say what we cannot.

10. Data attribution

The terminal shows data from the providers below. Some of them require the exact wording shown; where they do, it is reproduced as they wrote it. Naming a provider here is attribution, not endorsement: none of them has reviewed, approved or certified this site.

Where a series has been changed, derived or combined by us, the panel showing it says so in its footer.
